Pushes and Pulls – Science Lesson for Kindergarten

What Are Pushes and Pulls?

Have you ever pushed a toy car or pulled a wagon? That’s called a force !

💡 Push — When you move something away from you.

Example: You push a door open.

💡 Pull — When you bring something closer to you.

Example: You pull a drawer to open it.

These forces help us move things around. Sometimes we push hard and things go fast. Sometimes we pull slowly and things move just a little.
