Vowels and consonants for kindergarten.
There are two types of sounds in the English alphabet: consonants and vowels. The letters A, E, I, O, U, and sometimes others can all be used to represent vowels. The rest of the letters in the alphabet represent consonants such as B, C, D, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, Q, R, S, T, V, W, X, Y, and Z.
Vowels are continuous tones formed by harmonically related frequencies and extended in time. Consonants consist of impulses and anhamonic noise.
